Comments from Conservatives

If you look at page ranking sites such as those found at wholinkstome.com, it's quite apparent that the big guns of the liberal blogosphere (such as Kos, Americablog, C&L, Eschaton, etc) have triple or more traffic share than their conservative counterparts. As for the smaller guys, some rough estimates put the ratio of liberal to conservative blogs in the political forum today around 4 to 1.

Perhaps it's for reasons such as these that Bush-supporters bring their hilarious, self-embarrassing comments to my site and to those you see in my "blogs to read" section over in the column to the right on a fairly consistent basis.

I must admit - the comments from those who support the current administration are actually a self-affirmation to myself and others who share my political views. Most of us hold the stereotypes of today's Bush voting conservative as inarticulate, uninformed, brainwashed people who are not interested in critical thinking, light research or avalanche-prone mountains of facts that make their understanding of current events at about the same level as my 14 year old golden retriever. Reading what these people say in the comments each day simply perpetuates our stereotype, and reminds us daily of what we as progressives are fighting for.

I've decided to make a collection of some of the comments from this site and from others around the progressive blogosphere, and post them here. Some will make you laugh, and some will make you a little nervous that you're actually sharing roads, ATM's and breathing space with some of these people.

NOW, keep in mind this list is just a start. I'm sure you all have your share of Bushies leaving comments on your sites as well. Please feel free to leave me some of their quotes in the comments section, and I'll post them here as well. I think it would be fun to get a collection going :-)

Nevertheless, the following answers the request of, "show me the average person who pulls the lever next to Bush's name at election time."
