Maine Tied for First

Well, we may not be playing in the national championship, but Maine comes out in first place regarding another feat: Bush Disapproval Rating.

That's right, for the first time since they've been polling the states, Maine is tied with it's friend to the south, Massachusetts with the highest percentage of people unahppy with bush. The magic disapproval numbers?

Maine
Approve: 28%
Disapprove: 71%

That's right Massachusetts, we're right on your ass, and we're about to leapfrog over New Jersey's net approval!

Get the full poll here.

Bush has a 34% approval rating here in Indiana, which hasn't cast electoral votes for a Dem since LBJ.

LOC totally agreed. One of the great things you'll notice looking at the poll is that Ohio is the state with the lowest approval rating that happened to go red in '04.

PT, if there were more states like Maine, there'd be no fish left :-)

JG, that's actually great news. '06 is where it's at, and there is a strong correlation between bad presidential ratings and bad returns for those running with his party.
