Give Bush Credit Where Credit is Due
I was watching the news last night when a state senator from TX was giving an interview regarding the Bush administration. He mentioned the fact that security is tightening, legislation has been written, and as a result, this country hasn't been attacked in almost 5 years.
As we near the 5 year anniversary of 9/11, I have to say it make me reflect and think. We actually have not been attacked, and a lot of that credit must go to our President.
He just may have a point - we are in fact fighting them over there, and since we've been doing that, things have been quiet here. I mean, when it comes down to it - most reading this site are American, and we don't live in London, or Madrid, and certainly not in Baghdad, and personally - even though I will be scorned for admitting this - I'd much rather see slaughter on the news over there than in Los Angeles.
As I'm feeling more and more safe since 9/11, the violence in the rest of the world seems to be further and further away from our doorstep, and I guess sometimes that's really all that matters.
The threat from Iraq is gone. They have free and fair elections. Afghanistan is back on its feet with no Taliban or Al Qaeda in sight. We have strong relationships with other Arab nations helping us with the war on terror, and soon, our troops will be home after a swift victory overseas.
The evil of terror is fading everyone, and you can't really sit here and say Mr. Bush didn't lead the fight, and for that I give him credit where credit is due.
I would also like to wish you all a Happy April Fools Day. Now excuse me while I disinfect my keyboard after making myself vomit 27 times.

I caught you about a third of the way through. Either it was a April Fool's joke or the pod people had captured you.
Happy April Fools day to you too :)
Man, I wish you would quit that! Two days in a row; they're gonna find me dead in front of the keyboard. . .
Somebody please get this man a doctor.
Seriously, though you had me going there. I thought, damn I just found a good blog and now this guy's turning into an idiot.
Good job, Jeremy.
Jeremy, you almost gave your 52 yr old aunt a heart attack!!! I thought something was seriously wrong with you. As I continued to read I actually went into panic mode thinking, how could he have gone to the other side? Did he give away his 'Bush Born Again Moron' shirt I gave him for Christmas?? When I got to the end I laughed my ass off. What a great April Fool's joke! I LOVED it!!! Not to mention I was totally relieved. WHEW!!! Great Job, Terry
yeah, you really should have worn a condom!
Now Jeremy, this here was an excellent post right up until that there last paragraph. I don't quite unnerstand that un. I myself am completely sure that the reason we hain't been terrarized here is that we are takin' the fight to them old boys right over there in that Iraq ... I'd like to thank ya fer tellin' it like it is
